as bob’s wife …

This is a venue where I am able to express my literary attempts at creating my snippets of ideas, memories, and even lapses into one cohesive thought mostly inspired by God who has made me Bob’s wife.

I am indulging on the whim of words and infusing them with experiences spent with Bob (and our children) complementing them with photographs i snapped in our travels, family OHANA’s (our borrowed term for bonding moments) and in every day gifts of serendipities.

Bob and I are running thirty one years … a marathon to forever, by God’s grace … together.

  1. Lovely couple! I think this is the first time I’ve seen your photo. “A marathon to forever….” I like that! Happy holy week!

    1. Hi AJ, thank you for your compliment. I have managed to sneak in some photos of Bob and me in some entries but i have lost track where exactly. we are running our 31 years together in august, always excited to update every time 🙂

i hope you had a great break last weekend, we stayed home, not because of the warnings of chedeng, but as the kids are older, it is harder to plot out vacation opportunities. but we are going to Baler next week, its our first trip together after a long time. although, Bob and I have been at it quite often, traveling that is, but i need to share it more intently.

wishing you well, dear AJ 🙂

  2. I am so glad I saw this blog. When I saw the photos, I thought they were fantastic. When I read your bio, it was even more amazing! 30 years! You’re an inspiration to us who are still in the younger phase of marriage. My hubby and I will be celebrating 5 years this March. I know that with God’s guidance, we could make ours as long as yours 🙂 Please continue to be an inspiration to people 🙂

Our journey is not a perfect one, we have had major bumps along the way, but by God’s awesome grace, Bob and I are thriving in this marathon … greeting you way in advance for your 5th anniversary and praying that you and hubby will surpass ours even more. Thank you for the follow, I am grateful —- APRIL

    1. Hi Kai, thank you so much for your heartfelt greetings… 30 years seem a long time; but with Bob, it seems like it was just yesterday that we walked that aisle together to begin our journey. it had its bumps along the way, but God would always soothe the pain and rekindle the passion to go on:) thank you and hoping you’ll come visit as often as you like.

    1. Hi Sarah, so sorry for this delayed reply … by God’s grace, my family and i were spared from the typhoon’s fury from where we are … but many have not been.

  6. We are going on 28 years this December. I can’t believe we have been married for that long but the other hand, it seems like we were married just yesterday. God bless you!

    1. Hi Marites, congratulations to both of you for your milestone!

i truly agree with you as you said that it just seems like yesterday when i walked down the aisle when it actually was ages ago … praise God we married HIS best for us, otherwise we wouldn’t be feeling the same way. thank you for visiting …
      — APRIL

    1. Hi Caddo, thank you so much … it has been indeed a long and meaningful journey … praying for more years together being focused on the Lord to make us both steadfast in HIS love and grace. — APRIL

    1. Hi! i know that HE allowed us finally to meet. i have written you about homeschooling previously, encouraging you that by HIS grace alone, HE will sustain you. I was a homeschooling mom like you, but my sons are grown, my elder one is now working and my younger one is in mainstream already — i miss the days when we were together at homeschooling! i never thought i would say that, but i am teary eyed with the memory 😉

anyway, thank you for visiting and i hope that you will continue to come by. may the Lord continue to bless you and your family as well.

      your sister in Christ,

    1. Awww, Sarah, i am so touched! will check it out and will figure it better this time. i was given by Gracie some nominations recently, i don’t know if i was able to pass it forward the way i should have. but i will make sure that i do it right this time. again, thank you for your kindness, i had BOB read it and he is as touched as well! thank you so much … God bless you!

  7. Your 28 will go long and far beyond. We are three years ahead of you. This Dec. 22nd will be our 32nd year of happy marriage. For couples who knew how to love and respect each other marriage runs through eternity. Best wishes for you April and Bob.

    1. You are so kind po, thank you for wishing Bob and I the best, all glory and honor to God who has kept us together through the 28 years that are filled with both meaningful memories and learning experiences that HE alone allowed in our lives. Thank you so much, kind sir 🙂

please take a moment ... and tickle me pink!
