as my heart speaks … of being stuck

stuck

Being stuck.

The space around you closes in like a box that strangles you seemingly with no escape.

It surrounds you like a claustrophobic trap sucking your breath like it is your last.  This encumbrance that seems to paralyze your movement pins you to a spot not by choice but by chance.  A limiting moment that clips your time to its bare minimum because you are devoid of rights, creative pursuits, freedom and options.

Being stuck in an emotional state is worse.  It constraints wholeness.  It leaves you empty, unsure and even lost.

I am praying to be unstuck.

Words seem to escape my fortitude in order to form a sentence, a thought, a dream, a desire even a memory to be able to make a picture, a catalyst, a promise, or an inspiration.  I have tried but I have failed much.

But I know that by God’s grace, He will hold my heart in His so I can form my words to speak about HIM, to share His love through the things I see and live His dream to make a difference in any small way I can.

I know He will unlock the chains that bind my heart to celebrate Him, my Lord will allow me to once again sing Him praises through my life that He blesses and I know I will remain to be stuck on Him for always, abiding in His love forever.

as my heart speaks… of being alone

When we feel as if we are alone, speak to our heart and feel it respond with a tap like it says we are not.

Because we are really never alone.

God is intimately present in our life even when we forget or simply refuse to know that HE quietly awaits for us to connect with HIM. He yearns for us to depend on Him all the time to cast our burden to Him and free us from hurt or loneliness.  But as stubborn as we are, we uphold our own strength that is feeble in His.  We trust our choices that hold no promise when made beyond God’s will.  We even forsake His truth when ours is far from it.  We shun from anything that speaks of God when we focus on everything that is about us.

We are such a contradiction, a defiance of grace.  Yet, even if undeserving, our God loves us beyond anything we can imagine, more than enough to remind us that we are never alone.

descent

Seeing them having fun tugs at my heart, its like lifting them into heaven happiness.  In this snapped moment of “flight” it shows freedom and life.

However, as one comes up, descent is the inevitable next moment.

As the water cushions their coming down, I pray that every experience that brings destined trials or challenges in their life, they will rest in the loving arms of the Lord who I have faith will always catch their fall.

blue

My most favorite hue that speaks of calm and cool.

As God paints HIS skies with this beautiful hue in the early mornings when there is not one speck of white cloud, I find it a moment of being ultimately in HIS presence, speaking to my heart and making me feel HIS love.  Like this photograph i took one summer on an island getaway, it was indeed a unique experience enveloped in HIS loving embrace as I captured it in memory.

weekly photo challenge: endurance

endurance

This is hard work at its hilt.  With the heat of the sun beating at your back, the soft mud grasping your feet, the burly water buffalo dragging you around and the planting implement maneuvering your moves… all these tasks requiring focus and physical endurance.

Not one thing happens at one time; consequently, they are rhythmic movements that go on all at the same time beyond ease and comfort. Farming is definitely not for the weary or faint at heart but for someone who commits to endure more than one can take to achieve a goal of harvest and fulfillment.

Endurance is key to reap every seed sowed.
