thought snippet forty three {forget}

forget

What mother forgets her child? Even if the gift of her womb grows to be the most wayward on this earth, her love would still overshadow his faults.  She stands by her child and commits to it.  Her love never forgets to embrace him even if the world consigns him to oblivion.

As says in Isaiah 49, verse 15:

“Can a woman forget her nursing child
And have no compassion on the son of her womb? …”

However, being fallen that we all are, mothers can neglect … can abandon … can forget.

Not our Lord who promised in the same verse …

” … Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.”

God is faithful … HE has been, is, and will be.  He will never forget anyone who is in HIM because He said so.  Let us be thankful for this assurance because we can rely on this promise when we feel alone.

HE will never forget us because we have been inscribed on the palm of His hand and upheld in His heart even before HE formed us in our mother’s womb. HE is our faithful God who never forgets …
