These two photographs were taken years apart but I know you can see how Bob’s affection and connection with our kids never faltered, and I praise God for this heart’s desire so defined in him.
Of course, I cannot say that he is a perfect father, who is? However, Bob as a dad is so involved with the lives of his children; thus, he pours this out as a testament of the purity of his love for them. He has his moments, but it doesn’t stop him from amending his heart condition into making things right reflecting God’s will that his choices and decisions should be as his children’s earthly father.
As I said, Bob is no impeccable father; but I know there is a true perfect One. HE is our Father in heaven who loves us unconditionally without any border of time, place or circumstance. God our Father who is holy has HIS will set before us to obey and follow.
May Fathers’ Day remind us, not only of the love of our earthly fathers, more so of God’s love who sent HIS only Son for us to gain eternal redemption. In John 3, verse 16 it says: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” May the Father’s love remain in our hearts forever.
To our Bob, Happy Father’s Day … weloveyou.
