thought snippet thirty-two {race}

In 1 Corinthians 9 verse 25 it says:

“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. So run to win!”

race

Life is indeed a race where each day is a step unfolding towards the finish line.

There are those who begin with a delayed leap thriving soon after as the race progresses, while others gush for the finish with speeds so unreal they dwindle unexpectedly because of physical limitations.  Others cruise along like riding a steady wave of mediocrity.  While others run the race focused on the finish line watching each pace in obedience to the will of the Lord moving towards HIM who will meet these well-trained runners with eternal rewards of faithfulness.

Whoever we are in the race that is set before each one of us, may we desire to run it with heart, mind and soul totally surrendered to the purpose affixed ahead in faith and hope to win the prize which is the approval of God’s will in our lives … for always.
