weekly photo challenge: solitary

One Sunday afternoon, with camera on hand, I chanced upon this one “eternal” instant of a lowly bird.

This bird is solitary in its milieu; yet, it was used to exemplify a blessed assurance in the book of Matthew for us who are constantly anxious: “to look at the birds of the air, who do not plant or harvest or store food in the barns, yet the heavenly Father feeds them.”

Therefore, let us hold on to the promise that we, who feel SOLITARY, are truly never alone.
